About Andrew

An art practice can make an object. It can also make a place, a conversation, or a useful connection.

Andrew T. Smith is the artist and organizer behind Visual Realia. He is one of a small number of professional clay monoprint artists, and his work has been shown in solo, group, and juried exhibitions throughout Pennsylvania and Maryland.

Before opening Visual Realia, Andrew spent 32 years as a public school music educator. Today he works as a printmaker, curator, grant navigator, nonprofit board member, publisher, and steward of community-scale projects in the Hanover area.
